Catherine Collin is an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Clinical Psychology at the School of Psychology, University of Plymouth. She holds dual roles as a Clinical Psychologist at the Cornwall Foundation Partnership NHS Trust, specializing in reflective practice for staff support, clinical supervision, and service user assessment, formulation, and interventions. Additionally, she serves as the Director of Compassionate Mental Health CIC, an organization focused on advancing mental health initiatives. Her clinical expertise spans therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and existential psychotherapy.
Prior roles include Clinical Psychologist and Chief Compliance Officer at IAPT Cornwall, overseeing adult Aspergers assessments, perinatal wellbeing programs, and suicide liaison postvention. Her teaching focuses on CBT and reflective practice methodologies.
