Keval Kaur Khalsa is a Professor of the Practice Emerita of Dance at Duke University’s Dance Program, housed within Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. Her work focuses on embodied, experiential education as a tool for social transformation, particularly through dance, theater, and yoga with at-risk communities. She leads research projects such as a Bass Connections-supported study on yoga’s impact on middle schoolers.

Her research emphasizes using art forms to address systemic challenges, blending spirituality (as a Sikh adherent) with pedagogy. Key projects include Night of Renewal, a dance-music drama exploring cultural origins, supported by the Mary Duke Biddle Foundation (2006–2007).
Publications include Yoga Kids (2014) and Kundalini Yoga & Meditation (2013). She has also produced artistic works like The Miser (2010) and Kirtan (2010).
