Shikhar Singh is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Duke University, affiliated with the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Yale University (2022) and previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for the Advanced Study of India.
His research explores three core areas: transformative welfare state changes and their electoral impacts, the failure of decentralization to improve governance, and citizen accountability failures in crises like air pollution and health emergencies.
