Kenneth Struckmeier is the Director of Student Placements and an Instructor at the University of Portland's School of Education. With a B.S. in Secondary Education from UP and an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Portland State University, he has 32 years of experience in Oregon schools. His roles include Executive Administrator for Middle Schools in the Beaverton School District, adjunct professor at Lewis Clark College, and leadership positions such as Administrator for Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, Principal, and Assistant Principal. He began his career as a high school social studies teacher in Florence and Hillsboro, Oregon.
His expertise spans educational leadership, curriculum development, and school administration. Outside academia, he enjoys supporting the Portland Timbers, gardening, and exploring the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
