Abby Lane is a Senior Lecturer in the Curriculum & Teaching / UOTeach program at the University of Oregon's College of Education. She has been a key faculty member in the UOTeach Licensure Program since its inception in 2008, teaching courses in sheltered instruction and English language development.

Her research focuses on effective instruction for Emerging Bilinguals and developing evaluation frameworks to distinguish language differences from learning disabilities in bilingual students. During her 30+ years in education, she served as Coordinator for Eugene School District 4J’s English Language Development Program until retiring from K-12 education in 2016.
