Dr. Kelvin Wong is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the School of Health Sciences, Swinburne University of Technology. He holds a PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s in Psychology from UNSW Sydney. His research focuses on experimental psychopathology, particularly obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (OCRDs), mood and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Wong’s recent publications reveal a strong emphasis on cognitive mechanisms in OCD, including the role of feared possible selves (especially the corrupted self), inferential confusion, and mental contamination. He investigates how modifying cognitive biases and appraisals can influence symptoms, and evaluates both traditional and technology-enhanced treatments. His work spans psychometric development, experimental psychology, and clinical intervention trials.
