Kelly Polychroniou is a Lecturer in the Classical Studies Department at Boston University and serves as the Head of the Modern Greek Language Program. She has taught all levels of Modern Greek since joining Boston University in 2006, with prior teaching roles at Tufts University, UMass Boston, Northeastern University, Goethe Institut, Boston Language Institute, and Waldorf High School. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Literature from the University of Athens, Greece, and a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.

Her research focuses on applied linguistics, foreign language pedagogy, and computer-assisted language learning, with an emphasis on curriculum development, bilingual education, and integration of cultural elements into language instruction. Her 1999 publication, German, a CD with Transparent Language, Inc., reflects her interest in innovative language teaching methodologies.
