Dr. Daniel Erker is an Associate Professor of Linguistics & Spanish at Boston University, where he directs the Spanish in Boston Project funded by the National Science Foundation (BCS-1423840). His research focuses on language variation, contact, and change through sociolinguistic and phonetic lenses, particularly examining Spanish in the United States and Latin American languages. The project has compiled one of the largest corpora of Boston Spanish through interviews with 200+ speakers.
