Benedict Cruz is a Part-time Lecturer in Portuguese at Boston University. He holds a BA from the University of Virginia, an MA from Middlebury College, and another MA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. His teaching spans multiple languages, including English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, with a focus on empowering students to apply linguistic skills beyond the classroom through experiential learning rooted in his global travel experiences.
Dr. Cruz’s mission centers on fostering a love for language and cultural exploration. His office is located at 718 Commonwealth Ave., Room 406, with Spring 2025 office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00–3:00pm, or by appointment. He emphasizes practical, immersive pedagogy to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world application.
