Dr. Kelly Moore is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Duquesne University’s Palumbo-Donahue School of Business. Her research focuses on consumer online behavior and eating behavior, with notable work published in journals like Food Quality & Preference and Computers in Human Behavior. She teaches courses on Emotional Intelligence and Digital Sales & Marketing Tools and has professional experience in sports marketing with the Houston Astros and University of Iowa Sports Marketing.
Education: Ph.D. in Marketing (Iowa State University), M.B.A. in Executive Development (Drake University), and dual B.A./B.B.A. degrees in Journalism and Finance from the University of Iowa.
Research Interests
Dr. Moore explores topics such as dietary restraint’s dual effects on eating behaviors, the role of touch in consumer purchases, and the credibility of online product reviews. She also investigates how personality traits and FOMO influence social media usage, particularly on Instagram.
Awards
Recent honors include the Rangos Prize (2021), Dean’s Excellence in Teaching and Research Awards (2018–2021), and a Society for Marketing Advances Finalist recognition (2024).
