Kelly Grant

Kelly Grant serves as a Senior Research Associate (CTU Statistician) at the University of East Anglia's Norwich Medical School, where she is an active member of both the Public Health and Epidemiology departments. Her methodological expertise centers on biostatistical analysis for complex clinical trials and public health interventions.

Her research interests span biostatistics and clinical trial methodology, with particular focus on chronic disease management including COPD and dementia care. She specializes in analyzing recurrent events in cluster randomized trials and developing statistical approaches for feasibility studies with embedded qualitative components. Her work frequently addresses challenges in digital health interventions and public health program evaluation.

Analysis of her recent publications reveals strong methodological contributions to cluster randomized trials, feasibility study design, and multimorbidity research. Her work bridges statistical methodology with practical healthcare applications across diverse areas including pulmonary rehabilitation, dementia care, smoking cessation, and neurological disorders.

Grant currently leads statistical components for four major research projects totaling over £5 million in funding:

• UPTURN study (NIHR, 2023-2028): Co-designing pulmonary rehabilitation interventions for COPD
• Social Prescribing for Dementia (NIHR, 2022-2027)
• n-3 fatty acids for asthma (NIHR, 2021-2026)
• GEMINI project (MRC, 2020-2021): Genetic evaluation of multimorbidity

She collaborates extensively with clinical researchers across multiple institutions, with particular strength in translating complex statistical concepts for clinical audiences.
