Keith Buncke serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Bassoon and Performance at DePaul University's School of Music while holding the position of Principal Bassoon with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since July 2015, appointed by Music Director Riccardo Muti. Previously, he served as Principal Bassoon of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in 2014.
His educational background includes:

- Interlochen Arts Academy
- Studies at Pacific Music Festival, Tanglewood Music Center, Aspen Music Festival, and Music Academy of the West
Mr. Buncke's professional focus centers on woodwind performance with specialized expertise in bassoon technique, orchestral repertoire interpretation, and chamber music collaboration. His career bridges high-level orchestral performance with pedagogical engagement across major academic institutions.
He actively disseminates knowledge through master classes and teaching appointments at Aspen Music Festival, Northwestern University, University of Kansas, University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, Roosevelt University, and Interlochen Arts Academy and Camp.
As Principal Bassoon of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Buncke contributes to the ensemble's artistic excellence while maintaining chamber music collaborations with renowned artists including pianist Mitsuko Uchida and violinist Vadim Gluzman.
