Keira Martin

Keira Martin is Lecturer at Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) and an internationally active independent dance artist. A graduate of NSCD's BA program, she combines academic teaching with professional choreography and performance.

Her artistic practice integrates:

• Traditional Irish step dance techniques
• Contemporary movement vocabulary
• Aerial dance performance
• Working-class cultural narratives
• Autobiographical storytelling

As choreographer, she created critically acclaimed works including 'Here She Comes' (commissioned by Sadler's Wells) and 'Good Blood' (presented on mobile staging during pandemic restrictions). Current creative research explores Gypsy Roma Traveller cultural expressions through funding from Bradford 2025 cultural initiative.
