Amaury Lebrun is a Lecturer in Dance and Curriculum Lead for Creative & Contextual Studies at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD). He holds a PGDip AltHE and is completing an MA in Dance Teaching & Facilitating. His roles include designing assessment frameworks, leading choreography modules, and teaching ballet/contemporary techniques. He has over 10 years of international higher education experience, including curriculum redesign and online learning strategies during the pandemic.

Research interests focus on pedagogy, choreographic innovation, and the intersection of technology with dance education. His choreographic works, such as Left Unseen, explore human vulnerability and social commentary through movement. He has performed with prestigious companies like Compañía Nacional de Danza and Northern Ballet.
Professional development includes training in decolonizing curricula, safeguarding, and inclusivity. He sits on NSCD’s Board of Governors and contributes to ethics committees. Notable choreographic works span ballet, contemporary, and interdisciplinary performance, reflecting his commitment to artistic innovation and cultural expression.
