Kay Greasley is a Senior Lecturer at Lancaster University's Management School within the Organisation Work and Technology department. She teaches undergraduate courses OWT.322 Human Resource Management and OWT.250 Research Methods, as well as the postgraduate course OWT.505 Human Resource Management I. Her research focuses on employee experiences in work, employment relations, and HRM, examining themes such as workplace empowerment, public sector change impacts, health/safety management, HR analytics, and wellbeing in education settings. Notable projects include a 2024–2026 research initiative on occupational safety and health services.
Her work integrates phenomenological approaches, particularly in studying embodiment in the fitness industry and student learning in higher education. She actively contributes to academic communities through peer-review roles at journals like Human Resource Management Journal and Employee Relations, and participates in conferences such as the Organization Studies Workshop and International Labour Process Conference.
Kay holds a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and is a member of BUIRA (British International Relations Association).
