Kathryn Sharratt is Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Huddersfield, specializing in the psychological impacts of violence and criminal justice involvement. Her research examines childhood victimization patterns, psychopathy assessment, and familial consequences of incarceration. Current projects include police wellbeing studies funded by the National Police Wellbeing Service and An Garda Síochána.
Publications explore trauma typologies in abused children, child marriage prevention in Uganda, and measurement validation for psychopathic traits. Collaborative work received the 2017 Society of Police and Criminal Psychology award for research on homicide investigation stress. Methodologies include large-scale surveys and randomized controlled trials for intervention evaluation.
She co-led the None in Three project's international trials of prosocial gaming interventions and contributed to Barnardo's framework development for children of offenders. Current doctoral supervision focuses on forensic psychology and criminal behavior.
