Emily Berthelot is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts. She holds graduate faculty status in the Interdisciplinary Social Psychology PhD Program. Previously, she served at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) and the University of Houston Downtown. Her research focuses on violent offending and victimization, racial/ethnic disparities in crime, homicide studies, and the intersection of inequality with public health and urban environments.
Education: Ph.D. in Sociology (Louisiana State University, 2010), M.A. in Sociology (2007), and B.A. in Sociology with a Criminology concentration (2004), all from LSU.
