Dr. Kate-yue Zhang is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Educational Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness at the American University of Paris (AUP). She joined AUP's Department of International Business Administration in 2016, previously serving as Associate Professor and Department Chair at Surrey International Institute (a joint program of the University of Surrey and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics). Her academic leadership spans organizational behavior, human resource management, and higher education reform.
Education: PhD from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (China), Master of Commerce in Economics from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching from the University of Surrey.
Research focuses on organizational identity dynamics in remote work environments, cross-cultural expatriate adjustment, and international student integration. Notable work includes studies on telework identity threats and the Chinese apprenticeship model. Awards include the 2022 RIPCO Best Organizational Behavior Communication Award.
Grants include a Ministry of Education grant (2015–2018) on international student acculturation and a Liaoning Province grant (2011–2012) on cooperative business models. She also served as a public company board director (2016–2019).
