Wen Chang

Dr. Wen Chang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hospitality, Hotel Management, and Tourism at Texas A&M University, affiliated with the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. She previously served as Associate Dean at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics and held faculty roles at Iowa State University. Her expertise spans hospitality human resource management, employee motivations, leadership, and technology-enhanced service delivery.

Dr. Chang holds a B.A. from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, an M.Sc. from the University of Houston, and a Ph.D. in Hospitality Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She brings industry experience in food and beverage management and spa/recreation operations.

Her research focuses on organizational behavior in hospitality contexts, including employee motivation, leadership dynamics, and technology applications to improve service quality. Recent work explores cultural influences on customer loyalty, VR-based training efficacy, and DEI initiatives in the wine industry. She has secured grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Liaoning Province Development and Reform Commission.

Dr. Chang’s scholarly contributions include 21 articles across hospitality management, organizational psychology, and technology adoption. Her awards include the 2020 Excellent Talents Supporting Plan (Liaoning Province) and 2018 Professionals in Short Supply recognition (Dalian).

She collaborates with Texas A&M AgriLife, contributing to interdisciplinary research in agricultural and life sciences.
