Kate Wilkinson is Head of Teaching and Learning and a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Sport at Hartpury University. She plays a key role in enhancing teaching quality, supporting student success through the Achievement Success Centre, and promoting inclusive education. She co-chairs the Inclusive Teaching and Learning Group and is actively involved in institutional policy development and staff mentoring.

The recent articles highlight a consistent focus on educational innovation, inclusivity, and staff and student support in higher education. Themes include the use of technology in teaching, feedback frameworks, peer mentoring, and transitions from further to higher education. Her research often employs case studies, evaluations, and practical guides aimed at improving institutional practices.

Kate Wilkinson supervises PhD students and leads practice-based research projects, including the evaluation of teaching development schemes. She is a co-convener of the Advance HE TEAL network and serves as a Mental Health Charter Assessor for Student Minds. She has secured grants for inclusive practice and teaching innovation and actively contributes to staff development through workshops and institutional initiatives.
She is involved with the Achievement Success Centre (ASC) and leads efforts to create inclusive teaching policies and frameworks. Her work fosters collaboration between academic and professional services staff to enhance student outcomes and institutional culture.
