Kate Hampel serves as Area Chair and Associate Professor of Instruction in Sculpture + Expanded Practice at Ohio University's School of Art + Design. She is also co-founder of FOLLY, an artist residency program in Bishopville, Ohio supporting artists, writers, and scholars.

- MFA in Fiber and Material Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago
- BFA from Concordia University in Montreal
