Kate Hampel

Kate Hampel serves as Area Chair and Associate Professor of Instruction in Sculpture + Expanded Practice at Ohio University's School of Art + Design. She is also co-founder of FOLLY, an artist residency program in Bishopville, Ohio supporting artists, writers, and scholars.

Her academic credentials include:

• MFA in Fiber and Material Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago
• BFA from Concordia University in Montreal

Professor Hampel's artistic practice centers on material exploration through Sculpture and Fiber Arts, with significant focus on Expanded Practice methodologies.
