Karīna Horst

Karīna Horst is a Researcher at the Latvian Academy of Arts, Department of Art History. She has been employed at MVI since 2016 and serves as the Literary Editor of the journal Art History and Theory since 2017.

• Education: Ogre Gymnasium (1998–2010), followed by the Department of Art History at Latvian Academy of Arts (BA 2014, MA 2016, PhD 2023).
• Her research focuses on 20th century architecture in Latvia, with a specialization in sanatorium architecture (1918–1940) and the works of architects Edgars Šēnbergs and Ernests Štālbergs.
• Additional expertise includes editing art history texts and digital content management as the Editor of the MVI website.
