Karen Clinkard serves as a Principal Teaching Fellow in the Digital and Data Driven Marketing Department within the Southampton Business School at the University of Southampton. With 0.5 FTE commitment since 2020, she contributes to strategic university projects including the Reducing Curriculum Complexity initiative as Curriculum Designer and leads workstreams for peer-to-peer academic support development.
Her research centers on employability enhancement, enterprise education, and the AGILE mindset framework, with additional focus on small business marketing and sustainability. Through the Business Education Research Group (BERG), she develops reflective tools to evaluate student entrepreneurial capabilities using mixed-methods approaches.
Karen's publication trends reveal consistent development of the AGILE reflection framework across multiple contexts, demonstrating how live-client learning and reflective narratives enhance graduate employability. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in marketing education.

As an active educator, Karen champions work-related learning through international small business collaborations.
