Karen Lawson is a Senior Lecturer in Law at De Montfort University’s Leicester De Montfort Law School, part of the Faculty of Business and Law. She joined DMU full-time in May 2019 after previously teaching part-time in their LLM Employment Law program and serving as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Northampton. With a background as a practicing solicitor specializing in employment law (qualified 2001), she combines industry experience with academic expertise.

Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on HEIF-funded projects addressing labor policy challenges:
- Recruitment challenges in agriculture post-Brexit (£7,500; Principal Investigator 2023)
