Kalpa Pisavadia is a Research Project Support Officer and staff candidate PhD student at Bangor University’s Centre for Health Economics and Medicines Evaluation (CHEME). Her research focuses on women’s health, particularly perinatal mental health, and intersects with race, sex, gender, and socioeconomic status. She leads communication and knowledge transfer for the Health and Care Economics Cymru management board and is involved in the MAP ALLIANCE project. Kalpa is an experienced systematic reviewer, contributing to reviews for the Health and Care Research Wales Evidence Centre.
Her work includes evaluating interventions to reduce health inequities, clinical registries, and healthcare access. She has published on topics such as hospice care in Wales, postnatal anxiety, and cost-effectiveness of reablement services. Her research integrates quantitative and qualitative methods, emphasizing patient-centered outcomes and policy analysis.
Kalpa’s contributions span public health, health economics, and healthcare equity, with a focus on translating evidence into actionable insights for policy and practice.
