Dr Carys Stringer is a Lecturer in Preventative Health at the ALPHAcademy (Academy for Health Equity, Prevention and Wellbeing) within Bangor University's College of Medicine & Health. She holds a PhD in Health Economics from Bangor University and has expertise in dementia care, carer support, aging, and social value measurement. Her work focuses on integrating economic analysis with qualitative research to evaluate healthcare interventions.

Research interests include dementia care pathways, social return on investment (SROI) analysis, hospice services evaluation, and the socioeconomic impact of aging populations. She has led projects funded by the Welsh Government, including studies on third-sector support for dementia carers and the impact of the Health Precinct Community Hub.
