KMS Tareq is a doctoral researcher and part-time lecturer at SOAS, University of London. He holds an LLB Honours, LLM from the University of Rajshahi (Bangladesh), and an LLM in International Law (distinction) from the University of Keele, UK. Previously, he served as an Associate Professor (Reader) of Law at the University of Rajshahi. His research focuses on legal mechanisms addressing climate change-related human mobility in Bangladesh. He teaches modules including International Law, International Environmental Law, and Tort Law.
**Awards**: Prime Minister Gold Medal, University Gold Medal (for academic excellence), and a Commonwealth Scholarship for his LLM at Keele.
**Academic Background**: Completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies with distinction at Rajshahi University, followed by advanced studies in international law at Keele. His work bridges international law frameworks with environmental and refugee law challenges in climate-vulnerable regions.
