Julianne Lynch is a Professor in the School of Education at Deakin University, affiliated with the Research for Educational Impact group. Her work focuses on technology practices, curriculum innovation, and equity in education, particularly in disadvantaged settings. She holds a PhD from La Trobe University and has held academic positions at Monash and La Trobe Universities.
Her research interests include practice theory, teacher professional learning, and place-based education. Key projects include evaluating national curriculum initiatives and designing professional learning programs for educators. She has authored numerous books, including Practice Methodologies in Education Research, and leads consultancies for Australian government agencies.
Awards include the 2023 Head of School Innovator Award and the 2023 Faculty Award for Excellence in Research Supervision. She advises over 20 doctoral students and teaches courses on education research methodologies.
