Lisa Murphy is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Monash University's School of Primary and Allied Health Care, within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. She joined Monash in 2008 and specializes in curriculum design, interprofessional education, and online learning. She supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students and accepts PhD candidates.
Education: Lisa holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) from La Trobe University (2004), a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) from Deakin University (2000), and graduate certificates in Public Health (Deakin, 2022) and Health Professional Education (Monash, 2013).
Research focuses on curriculum development, interprofessional practice, and international health collaborations. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and health. Recent projects include Indo-Pacific community health programs in Vietnam and Cambodia, emphasizing interprofessional learning and global health competence.
Prizes include the 2023 Dean's Award for Excellence (Team) and multiple Faculty Teaching Travel Grants. She co-leads projects like the 'Collaborative Indo-Pacific Health Care' initiative and contributes to occupational therapy educational standards via roles in Occupational Therapy Australia Limited.
