Lisa Licciardi is a Research Fellow in the Rehabilitation, Ageing and Independent Living (RAIL) Research Centre at Monash University. She holds a Doctorate by Research and has transitioned from a clinical occupational therapy career into academia, specializing in acquired brain injury, concussion, and persistent post-concussion symptoms (PPCS). Her roles include teaching, clinical supervision, and research coordination. She is currently pursuing a PhD exploring the impact of PPCS on occupational performance in adults, collaborating with the Epworth HealthCare Concussion Clinic.
Education: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from La Trobe University (2006).
Research Focus: Her work centers on occupational therapy's role in rehabilitation, policy influence, and process improvement. Key areas include PPCS, ABI, and gerontology. She has led projects like 'A qualitative exploration of lived experience and the role of occupational therapy in PPCS' and contributed to studies on telehealth and dementia care.
Recent Projects: Active projects include behavioral mapping in residential aged care (2022–2025) and a qualitative study on PPCS (2025–2026).
Grants & Activities: Participated in conferences (e.g., Pacific Rim Conference 2025, Australian Assistive Technology Conference 2024) and supervised non-HDR projects. Her work aligns with UN SDGs related to health and well-being, education, and sustainable communities.
