Julian Nowag is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at Lund University's Department of Law, specializing in EU and Competition Law. He is affiliated with the Oxford Centre for Competition Law and Policy as an associate and serves as managing editor of The Journal for Antitrust Enforcement. His expertise bridges EU constitutional law, competition policy, and environmental integration. He holds a DPhil and MSt from the University of Oxford, an LLM from Durham University, and degrees from German and Austrian institutions.
Research focuses on EU constitutional frameworks, competition law enforcement, and the DMA's regulatory challenges. His work addresses sustainability in competition law, energy transitions, and climate policy interactions. He teaches in Lund's Master program in European Business Law and globally, including in Vietnam and Latin America. Professional experience includes roles at the German Competition Authority, European Commission (DG Comp), and Allen & Overy.
