Joslyn Strebe

Joslyn Strebe, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine. Her clinical expertise focuses on antimicrobial stewardship, diagnostic stewardship, and multidrug-resistant infections. She earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health and completed residency and fellowship training in internal medicine and infectious diseases at UT Southwestern. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2024, she actively contributes to professional societies such as the American Society for Microbiology and the Infectious Diseases Society of America, where she serves on the Fellows Subcommittee.

Her research spans infectious disease management, viral hepatitis treatment, and clinical trials for emerging pathogens like SARS-CoV-2. Notable projects include optimizing urine culture protocols in emergency departments and improving linkage to care for hepatitis C patients. Her translational work has explored neuroregenerative therapies for stroke and spinal cord injury, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach to medicine.
