Joseph F. Marino is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Philosophy whose work focuses on existential and phenomenological thought, particularly the philosophies of Martin Heidegger and José Ortega y Gasset. His research explores themes of human experience, history, and temporality, supported by grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).

His scholarly pursuits extend to medieval religious studies, with projects on mystical journeys and female mystics of the Middle Ages, alongside a seminar on Dante's Inferno. Dr. Marino also bridges philosophical theory with pedagogical practice through co-editorship of a text on the Philosophy of Education.
Recent courses taught include undergraduate Ethics (PHI 014) and Contemporary Ethical Issues (PHI 090). He maintains expertise in classical and modern educational theories.
