Andrew I. Schepard is the Sidney and Walter Siben Distinguished Professor of Family Law and Director of the Center for Children, Families and the Law at Hofstra Law School, Hofstra University. He is a leading expert in family law, child custody, and alternative dispute resolution.
His research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to divorcing families, family court reform, and responsible parenting during separation. He has pioneered models in collaborative law and mediation, influencing national standards through his role as Reporter for key ABA and Uniform Law Commission projects.
Professor Schepard has authored seminal works including Children, Courts and Custody: Interdisciplinary Models for Divorcing Families and edits the Family Court Review. His scholarship and leadership have shaped policy and practice in family justice systems.

Labs and Teams: He directs the Center for Children, Families and the Law and is the founder of Parent Education and Custody Effectiveness (P.E.A.C.E.), an educational program for divorcing parents. He also serves as Program Director for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy's Modern Divorce Advocacy course.
