Joseph Craig Longenecker

Dr. Joseph Craig Longenecker is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Drexel University's Dornsife School of Public Health. He holds an MD from Johns Hopkins University, a PhD in Epidemiology, an MPH in Epidemiology, and a BS in Chemistry from Wheaton College. Dr. Longenecker has over two decades of experience in academia, previously serving as Inaugural Vice-Dean, Academic at Kuwait University’s College of Public Health (2015–2021) and at Johns Hopkins University (1996–2002).

His research focuses on non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular and renal disease, hypertension, and diabetes, with emphasis on public health surveillance and interventions.
