Teresa Longenecker

Teresa Longenecker is a Senior Research Aide at Duke University, affiliated with the Parenting Across Cultures (PAC) research team since 2016. She specializes in bilingual (Spanish-English) research, conducting interviews, classroom observations, and student assessments for studies focused on instructional strategies supporting Latino English language learners. Her work includes evaluating the DCCS Program and North Carolina Pre-K initiatives.

Longenecker’s research interests intersect education, bilingual development, and Latino community engagement. With prior experience in health and education services for Latino families in Wake County and ESL instruction for adults, she combines fieldwork with advocacy through volunteering in local Latino outreach organizations. She has lived and worked in Mexico and Central America, enriching her cross-cultural expertise.
