Dr. Joseph Chen is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Marketing at Macquarie University, Australia. His research focuses on business ethics in marketing, particularly consumer responses to ethically questionable practices such as brand crises, data privacy issues, and greenwashing. He has published in top-tier journals like the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and Journal of Business Ethics. His work has influenced public policy, including contributions to the 2021 Australian Privacy Act Review and the World Health Organization database. He is also recognized for teaching excellence, receiving the 2023 Highly Commended Vice-Chancellor's Learning and Teaching Award.
