Dr. Jonne Guyt is an Associate Professor at the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam, specializing in responsible retailing and marketing conduct. His research focuses on the intersection of environmental policies, consumer behavior, and retail strategies. He holds a PhD from Tilburg University (2015) and has held post-doctoral positions at the Institute for Choice, Australia.
Research interests include the effects of bottle deposit return schemes, soda taxes, and store flyer bans on consumer behavior and retail performance. His work has been recognized with awards such as the AMA-EBSCO-RRBM Award (2023) and a NWO Vidi Grant (2023). Key methodological contributions include integrating web scraping into retail research and combining critical discourse analysis with text mining techniques.
Teaching responsibilities include PhD-level courses on causality in business research and master’s courses on marketing science and marketing metrics. He advises on data collection from web/social media platforms and has designed a mock digital retail store for research training.
Grants include €850,000 from NWO Vidi (2023) and prior awards from EMAC and MOA. Current research explores forced channel migration strategies, choice overload effects, and bundle evaluation frameworks.
