Avery Haviv is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Simon Business School, University of Rochester. He holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Marketing from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. His research focuses on applying structural models and natural experiments to optimize marketing investments and consumer behavior analysis across industries like consumer packaged goods, video games, and healthcare. He has been published in top journals including Marketing Science, Management Science, and the Journal of Marketing.
Dr. Haviv is a屡获殊荣的教师, having received the Gitner Prize for Teaching Excellence (2019) and multiple Superior Teaching Awards for Business and Marketing Analytics (2018–2024). His work bridges academic research and real-world impact, such as a field experiment increasing organ donor registrations that won the AMA-EBSCO-RRBM Award (2024).
His research explores topics like influencer marketing dynamics, brand deterrence strategies, and behavioral interventions in healthcare. Current projects include spillover effects of app competition and consumer choice constraints in retail pricing. Dr. Haviv has also contributed to media discussions on pricing strategies and seasonal consumer behavior.
