Jonas Dahlberg is a Professor of Public Art at the University of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack) in Stockholm. He is renowned for his interdisciplinary work in public art, architecture, and installation art, as well as opera scenography for notable venues like the Grand Théâtre de Genèva and Gran Teatre de Liceu in Barcelona. His projects often explore spatial politics and the analysis of urban environments.
Research interests include the intersection of public art with architecture, the politics of space, and the use of video and film to interrogate place. Notable works include the books *Invisible Cities* and *An Imagined City*, and his proposal for a memorial related to the July 22 attacks in Norway.
Key exhibitions include the São Paulo Biennial, Venice Biennale, Prospect 2 (New Orleans), Manifesta 4 (Frankfurt), Busan Biennale, and Thessaloniki Biennale. His works have been showcased at institutions like Moderna Museet (Stockholm) and Kunsthalle Wien.
Dahlberg founded and leads the course *Of Public Interest*, focusing on public art and its societal dimensions. This initiative reflects his commitment to education and the critical exploration of public spaces.
