Ignasi Cristià serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of Barcelona's Department of Art History since 2007, teaching museography and exhibition design seminars. He concurrently holds teaching positions at the International University of Catalonia (since 2021) for Management and Curating of Artistic Exhibitions and Heritage Assets, and at Kunsthal, Higher Center for Design in Bilbao, while delivering lectures across Spanish institutions on theater-museography intersections.
Education:
- Dramatic Arts graduate specializing in scenography (1993) and dramaturgy (1990) from Institut del Teatre de Barcelona at UAB
- Intermediate Music degree specializing in lyrical singing (1995) from Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu
Research Focus: His work critically examines spatial narrative techniques across theatrical and museum contexts, developing innovative frameworks for experiential curation that merge performance theory with heritage presentation. Key projects include designing immersive environments for institutions like CaixaForum and National Archaeological Museum, emphasizing audience engagement through scenographic principles.
