Enric Garrido serves as Professor at EINA (School of Design, University of Barcelona) since 2016-2017, teaching Graphics for third-year Design students alongside Xavier Alamany and previously substituting for Elena Bartomeu in Designing Elements of Identity. He concurrently instructs History of Graphic Design at Bau Design Center since 2014 across Master’s and BauNit programs, and Introduction to History and Context of Infographics for the Information Technology and Data Visualization Master’s since 2017.

His research prioritizes innovation in design methodology and demystifying visual communication through theoretical frameworks that bridge human experience with social environments. He investigates alternatives to conventional design processes while emphasizing data visualization’s role in information representation, as evidenced by collaborative projects like A critical look at data visualization with Jeffrey Swartz and Cirquit 2 on digital culture’s impact on art.
Professionally, he has executed graphic production for Barcelona’s Grec Theater Festival, La Mercè Festival, and Món Llibre Festival through La Factoria dels Anuncis studio. His freelance work includes exhibition graphics for Museum of the History of Barcelona (MUHBA) projects like Fabra i Coats fa Museu (2014) and Hagadàs Barcelona (2015), alongside collaborations with estudi nus architecture studio and institutions including CCCB and Center for Information on Medicine of Catalonia. He has supervised Final Degree Projects at EINA, focusing on developing students’ critical methodology and conceptual interpretation skills to articulate design statements.
