Professor John Watts is a Fellow and Tutor in Medieval History at Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford. His academic career spans over three decades, with research focusing on political structures and culture in later medieval Britain and Europe (1250-1550). He has held significant roles including Chair of the History Faculty Board (2018-2021), Senior Tutor at Corpus (2008-11), and Director of Graduate Studies in History (2016-18).
His work examines:

- Neo-classical influences on political thought
