Michael Lysander Angerer is a DPhil Candidate and College Lecturer in English at Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford. He specializes in medieval literature and translation theory, focusing on multilingual interactions in Northwest Europe. His research examines how poetic forms shape national identities across languages, particularly in medieval chronicles and romances. Angerer holds an MSt from St Hilda’s College and a BA from Oriel College, with studies at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris.

Teaching: Teaches Early Medieval Literature, English Language, and Literature from 1350–1550. Serves as Graduate Teaching Assistant for 'The Medieval Now' and supervises undergraduate dissertations. Awarded Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
