Dr Alexandra Gajda is the John Walsh Fellow in History at Jesus College, Oxford and Associate Professor of History at the University of Oxford. She specializes in political, religious, and intellectual history of 16th-17th century Britain. Her current projects include a history of Parliament and the Reformation in England/Wales, studies on William Camden's Annals of Elizabeth I, and editing Fulke Greville's letters. She holds a DPhil from Oxford (New College) and previously taught at the University of Birmingham.

Research focuses on Reformation-era statecraft, historiography, and political communication. Current projects explore ideas of Parliament's antiquity and Elizabethan gentlemanly education.
Publications emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to early modern political thought, with recent work analyzing debates over parliament's origins and the Society of Antiquaries' role in historical narratives. Supervises DPhil students on topics including political culture and religious change.
