Dr. John Kinchen is the Chair of the Department of Music and Professor of Music at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. He directs the Union Singers and Voices of Proclamation, and teaches courses in Worship Theology and Advanced Choral Techniques. He holds a BM in Composition (Eastman School of Music), MM in Orchestral Conducting (Florida State University), DMA in Music Education (Boston University), and is ABD in Doctor of Worship Studies (Liberty University). His career spans over 28 years in education and pastoral ministry, with notable conducting roles including the New Orleans Philharmonic, Liberty University Symphony Orchestra, and Gulf Coast Community Orchestra. He previously served as Associate Dean of the School of Music at Liberty University.
