John Edwin Mason

John Edwin Mason is an Associate Professor at the University of Virginia, specializing in African history, the history of photography, and cultural studies. He co-directs the Holsinger Portrait Project and has published extensively on South African history, post-emancipation societies, and 20th-century African American visual culture.
