Aletheia Casey is a photography lecturer at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (KABK) and London College of Communication. She holds a Master of Photojournalism and Documentary Photography (Distinction) from LCC. Her work critically examines colonial histories, Indigenous rights, and personal identity through documentary photography. Key projects include No Blood Stained the Wattle (exploring Tasmania’s frontier violence) and After the Apology (addressing Australia’s Stolen Generations).
Exhibitions include the National Portrait Gallery (Australia), National Geographic Society (London), and Museum Bélvédère (Heerenveen). Awards include the British Journal of Photography’s ‘31 to Watch’ and PHMuseum Grant shortlist. She is a Lumina Collective founder, focusing on collaborative Indigenous photographic narratives.
