John Abbracciamento is an Instructor of Trumpet at the School of Music, James Madison University. He holds a B.M. in Trumpet Performance from the University of Michigan and an M.M. in Trumpet Performance from Mannes College of Music. Prior to his academic role, he served a 27-year career in the United States Marine Band, including prestigious performances at the White House and national events. He has led educational outreach through the Marine Band's Music in the Schools program and has conducted master classes at institutions like the Cleveland Institute of Music and New England Conservatory.

Outside academia, he balances family life and outdoor activities in Virginia’s Shenandoah National Park.
