Johan Öhman is a Professor of Education at Örebro University’s School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. He leads the Environmental and Sustainability Education Research Group (ESERGO) and co-founded the Studies of Meaning-making in Educational Discourses (SMED) research environment. Over 30 years, he has focused on ethical and democratic dimensions of sustainability, environmental, and outdoor education. His work integrates didactic theory and John Dewey’s pragmatism to analyze educational practices.
